I bought these after Christmas on sale to use in my windows next year. They are easy to use, the suction cups work pretty well to keep them secure. Insert the 2 AA batteries, screw on the base tightly and the candle is on and ready to go. The gold bases are made of plastic but they look pretty good. The candle bulb is also a rubbery plastic, but it has a pretty yellow/orange glow. The candles do come on the same time every day. They could come in handy to use in a hard-to-reach location, since they don't need to be turned on every day. The batteries last for a long time in them. I have had mine going for around 6 weeks straight and the batteries are still going. -- Candles look good in window or on mantle

I purchased these candles in November at a much higher price from another online vendor. I bought 5 sets to see if they really work as described,they did! When I saw them on Amazon for 1/2 the price I jumped on them for the rest of my 47 windows. They come on at the same time and go off 6 hours later. The suction cups hold them in place nicely and they never lost battery power. Of all the sets I bought only 2 candles weren't working properly. I returned them and got a replacement. My only wish is that the light were white,but I searched and searched and I don't think they exist in LED,battery operated,with a timer. -- LED window candles

The light output for the candle lamps is dim - as was stated in other reviews. But, the convenience of the automatic on and off and being cordless is worth it. One problem is that it is a hit or miss to turn the candles on and off manually, and once that is done it is difficult to get them timed to come on at the same time.
I would buy again -- good and bad

These are the best battery operated candles. A realisic candle glow and they do operate as stated. I own a pair of the 9" and the 12". I'm thinking of buying more.
