User Reviews about White LED C7 Replacement Light Bulb Candelabra Base L.E.D. .96 Watt Holiday and Christmas Lighting Replacements

As other customers have stated, this is a very rugged and decently bright lightbulb. Runs very coolly and efficiently compared to incandescent bulbs.

However, it is decidedly NOT white--I would describe it as light blue--so it did not work for my needs (and it would not be worth my time/money to return the ones I ordered).

There ARE decent white LED lights out there that do, in fact, look white--this is just not one of them. I should have read the reviews before ordering it. :/

If the seller would simply change the description to say "light blue" rather than "white", I'd give the bulb 5 stars. -- Great bulb--just NOT white
Perfect replacement for so many applications, such as small lamps. The only drawback is the ultra-white hue. -- C7 LED
This light produces the early version of "white" LED light was typical of the first LED Christmas light strings. That is to say that the light from it is actually Blue instead of white. The clear glass lens on the LED does not help this effect either.

As has been noted by others, the amount of light produced by this bulb is NOT very bright at all. Most people who are used to purchasing CFL bulbs might be misled by the .96 Watt rating into trying to use that number to compare with a CFL bulb. DO NOT DO THIS! The wattage rating is actually the true light rating of the bulb!! This bulb puts out between 1/4 and 1/7th the amount of light that a standard night light bulb produces (or standard C7 Christmas light bulb).

I purchased these bulbs to replace bulbs in night lights (got tired of having to replace the standard bulbs every 5 to 6 weeks) and to also use in Christmas displays (signs and plastic figures that use C-7 4 to 7 watt light bulbs). The blue light and low level of light produced by these bulbs does not work well. The blue light gives everything a very strange and cold appearance. The low level of light makes the displays hard to see and does not provide enough light to make a useful nightlight.

Shipping charges also cost more than the bulbs do (I bought several bulbs) so your experiment will become rather expensive quickly.

If you have a display that will accept a larger bulb (still using the candelabra light base), I would suggest using CFL bulbs. They use 4 Watts of power and produce 25 watts of light. Inflatable displays that used a string of 5 bulbs (5X4watts for a total of 20 watts of power and 20 watts of light) I was able to replace with two CFL bulbs (2X4 watts for a total of 8 watts of power to produce 50 watts of light) for a brighter display that uses less power. Better yet, the CFL bulbs do not burn out every few days like the regular bulbs do when the displays are bounced around by wind (or the occasional child who tries to play with it). -- Limited use LED bulb
Excellent replacement for 4W night light incandecent bulb. A bit blue - very similar to moonlight, so, maybe not as sleep disturbing as the standard incandecent bulb. Compared to 4W there's not much energy to save - except the energy to replace an incandecent every few months. -- Great replacement for "orninary" 4W night light
